ASSIMILATION, LANGUAGE AND IMMIGRATION

What do we lose in our attempts to integrate into new societies? William and Raghdan examine an argument by philosopher Frantz Fanon who argues that in trying to integrate themselves into white society, people of color risk losing their identity whilst perpetuating colonial ideals of white supremacy. They use this argument to re-examine the perspectives presented to us by E. Tendayi Achiume and Michael Walzer in previous episodes.
